Running Accomplishments:

I started running in January 2007 b/c my Dad and I decided to run the 5K in the Sunburst.  So off I started running, okay so more like walking, I couldn't even run a mile straight at first!  But I ran it in 32 minutes.

Then I decided to go for a Mini.  I know, what a jump!  So in January 2008 I started training for the Indy Mini.  I'm proud to say I did it!  I ran it in 2:34:04.  My goal was to run the whole thing and I did.  (5.3.08)

5.31.08 Sunburst (South Bend, IN) Ran my best yet!  1:03:23, and 10:13 pace, which beat my Indy Mini pace by 1:33 :)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I want to improve speed.  Yeah, that about sums it all up! I will do the Mini faster next year, no ifs, ands, or buts.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to always be a runner.  That is my long term goal right now.  I love being in races and seeing people in their 70's running.  What an inspiration!

Personal:

I'm married to an AMAZING husband, Patrick, who supports and encourages my running.  I have two kids, Gavin (4) and Samantha (2). They are what my life is all about.  I love to sing and do anything with music.  I love wheelin' in our Jeep.  I am a Tastefully Simple consultant.

I am super excited about my results for the 10K!!!  This is by far the best I have ever ever ran!  My pace was 10:13.  My pace for the Indy Mini was 11:46.  I am shocked at that jump.  I didn't even train nearly the way I did for the Mini, I honestly slacked on running since May 3rd.  It does intimidate me a bit, b/c I'm worried about being to run at least this pace if not more all the time.

Great job on your race! The longer you run, the faster you will be able to race, even if you do not run faster in your daily runs. It takes a long long time to maximize the results from just normal running. Don't be afraid--you just had a great race! Many more to come...

That is so great that you have already run a marathon!

So you are a singer--how cool!

Good job on the pr! Use it as motivation to start putting in the time to train. No more slackin. Lets see some more great pr's in the future.

Awesome job on your race!! Sunburst is a great course. Are you from the South Bend area? In April, they have a holy half and you run a closed course on Notre Dame campus.

I live less than a hour away from SB. That would be a lot of fun to run on ND campus. My Grandpa worked and retired from there, so that would be really speacil.
